Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Backup & Storage Team Leader to oversee enterprise backup and storage services within a large-scale managed services environment. The role involves leading operational delivery across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructures, ensuring data availability, protection, and resilience. You will work closely with internal teams, customers, and technology partners in a complex, multinational setup.

Technical Requirements
- Strong experience with enterprise backup and storage technologies, including Commvault, SAN (Brocade), and storage platforms such as Hitachi, PureStorage, NetApp (NAS, SnapMirror, StorageGrid), and Dell PowerScale (Isilon).
- Experience with S3 object storage solutions is beneficial.
- Scripting (Python or Perl) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) are considered a plus.
Profile & Skills
- Around 10 years of experience in backup and storage operations within large environments.
- Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong communication skills with a structured, process-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and quickly learn new technologies.
- Fluent in English; French is an advantage.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, international, customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day operations for backup and storage services within the data center environment.
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise storage and backup solutions.
- Oversee hardware lifecycle activities, including configuration, CMDB updates, data migration, and decommissioning.
- Ensure standardised deployments, security compliance, patching, and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor infrastructure, manage incidents and service requests, and deliver root cause analyses after major events.
- Support project transitions into operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produce service and infrastructure status reports and collaborate with customers and vendors.
