Scrum Master
Job description:
The Scrum Master ensures that Agile teams deliver high-quality results on time while maintaining alignment with governance standards. This role focuses on team coordination, continuous improvement, and documentation traceability across sprints and releases, collaborating closely with the Release Train Engineer (RTE) and other Scrum Masters.
Responsibilities:
Team Coordination
- Drive sprint and release delivery, ensuring scope, quality, and deadlines are met.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify, manage, and escalate blockers or risks, coordinating with Tech Leads.
- Track and report delivery progress using Jira dashboards, burn-downs, and KPIs.
- Enforce Agile best practices, including backlog hygiene, Definition of Done, and quality gates.
Documentation & Traceability
- Maintain clear technical and functional documentation.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements, stories, defects, tests, and releases.
- Coordinate documentation contributions from developers, testers, and architects.
- Manage review cycles, feedback, version control, and approvals.
Governance, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Support release readiness by verifying test evidence, defect logs, and deliverables.
- Maintain organized knowledge repositories (Confluence, SharePoint) for the team and stakeholders.
- Capture lessons learned and integrate improvements into future sprints and releases.
- Coach the team on accountability, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with internal, contractual, and regulatory standards.
